Diflucan (fluconazole) is a prescription medicine intended for the treatment of fungal infections, including throat infections, vaginal infections, urinary tract infections, peritonitis, and pneumonia. Diflucan taken by females to treat vaginal infection may cause changes in taste, indigestion, dizziness, nausea and abdominal pain. Make sure your doctor knows everything about the drugs you are taking and any adverse reactions you had in the past. Diflucan must not be combined with cisapride – a medication used to treat heartburn. If combined these two drugs may lead to heartbeat irregularities and cause a number of other heart problems.

It’s important to watch closely the function of your liver while you are going through the treatment.
